This project aims to integrate plastic awareness into the Tanzanian primary education curriculum aiming at changing the future minds of the community at an early age. Through this initiative, students from Standard I to VII will learn to recognize the impact of plastics, practice the 3R’s (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), and develop innovative solutions to combat plastic pollution. The project also emphasizes youth empowerment and leadership, encouraging students to become advocates for environmental conservation. Workshops, seminars, and training sessions are conducted to enhance the competencies of students, aligning with Tanzania's self-reliance educational philosophy.

We paid a visit along with the volunteers (The Friends of Lake Victoria) to the Sengerema district of Mwanza region. Chloroplus 720sc is a toxic pesticide that has been excessively used in the agricultural activities alongside Lake Victoria at Ilunda Ward, Sengerema District, Mwanza Region. After conducting a visibility study and observation, Synergistic Globe Environmental Organization has observed the detrimental effects of this pesticide on the environment and living organisms in water bodies.
Outcome: Our visit highlighted the urgent need to address the misuse of Chloroplus 720sc. We conducted several educational sessions with local farmers, informing them about the dangers of using such toxic pesticides and advocating for safer, sustainable agricultural practices. This led to a significant increase in awareness and a commitment from the local community to explore alternative pest control methods.
Testimonial: "The insights provided by the Synergistic Globe Environmental Organization were eye-opening. We now understand the harmful impact of Chloroplus 720sc on our environment and are determined to adopt safer farming practices." - Local Farmer
